Quick Answer: Aron Movers is a family-owned moving company based at 408 Newton Avenue in Oaklyn, in the middle of Camden County, and we have been moving Camden County families and businesses since 1958. We are licensed in New Jersey (NJ License #39PM00033600) and for interstate moves (USDOT 757960, MC 568794), so moves to or from Philadelphia are covered too. Camden County is where we live and where most of our trucks go every day. It is also the county where the moving rules change the most from one town line to the next: Haddonfield picks up two bulk items a month and Cherry Hill picks them up every week; Collingswood tickets for overnight street parking and Voorhees has HOA gates instead of street parking; two boroughs need two separate certificates to close on a house and one township needs a Continued Certificate of Occupancy plus a move-out pickup. This page is the map. Each town below has its own page with the full rules, and the table gives you the version you can read in a minute.
These are the Camden County towns we have written full guides for, each with the township or borough rules on trash, parking, and inspections:
We also move families and businesses in Audubon, Barrington, Bellmawr, Berlin, Brooklawn, Camden, Cherry Hill, Chesilhurst, Clementon, Gibbsboro, Gloucester City, Gloucester Township, Haddon Heights, Haddon Township, Hi-Nella, Laurel Springs, Lawnside, Lindenwold, Magnolia, Merchantville, Mount Ephraim, Pennsauken, Pine Hill, Runnemede, Somerdale, Stratford, Waterford, Winslow, and Woodlynne. If it is in Camden County, we serve it.
Every town below sets its own rules, and they are the things that catch people the week of the move. Details, phone numbers, and sources are on each town page.
| Town | Bulk trash | Selling your home |
|---|---|---|
| Cherry Hill | Regular trash day; appliances Wednesdays by call; one-time move-out pickup when a house is sold | Continued Certificate of Occupancy (CCO) through the township |
| Collingswood | 2 items per week; mattresses wrapped; appliances and electronics to recyclers, not the curb | Resale CO (sidewalks and curb) plus smoke/CO/extinguisher certificate, both from the Fire Prevention Bureau |
| Haddonfield | 2 items per month, second full week only, 50 lb and 7 ft max; one-time move-out pickup for sellers | Check with the borough; dumpsters on the street need a police permit |
| Voorhees | Once a month, third full week, on your trash day; no electronics or construction debris | Residential Resale Certificate from Zoning: $75 standard, up to $200 same-day, 10-year sealed smoke detectors, unpermitted work blocks it |
| Oaklyn | Household bulk items on your trash day, two-person carry limit; fridge doors off | Resale certificate of compliance plus exterior inspection through Borough Hall |
The county-level piece that never changes: the Pennsauken Sanitary Landfill charges by weight, so when a clean-out is bigger than the borough will take, the disposal fee on a landfill run depends on what the load weighs. We can carry unwanted items to the curb or a dumpster at our hourly rate, or take them to the landfill and add the weight-based fee. Whoever you hire, ask how they bill junk removal before move day, not after.
Camden County is the closest South Jersey county to Philadelphia, and a lot of our moves cross the river. The Ben Franklin and Walt Whitman bridges are the main routes, PATCO runs from Lindenwold through Voorhees, Haddonfield, Westmont, and Collingswood into Center City, and Route 70, Route 38, Route 73, Route 130, and I-295 tie the county together. Any move between Philadelphia and Camden County crosses a state line, which makes it an interstate move under federal rules, and the mover needs a USDOT number and FMCSA operating authority. Aron Movers holds both (USDOT 757960, MC 568794) along with our New Jersey license.
One height rule our crews follow everywhere in the county: if a bridge or overpass is under 13 feet, the truck doesn’t go near it. The Scarborough Covered Bridge in Cherry Hill is the famous one, and we route around it on every Barclay Farm move.
From row homes and condos to five-bedroom colonials, our crews protect floors and doorways and bring the right crew size for the house. Residential moving
COIs, elevator reservations, and assigned-parking communities. Apartment moving
Offices, medical practices, and retail, planned around your hours to keep downtime short. Commercial moving
Full or partial packing, from china and glassware to wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. Packing services
Leaving Camden County for another state? We handle the whole move with one company and one crew, with no handoffs to strangers.
Back-to-back settlements are common across South Jersey. Our overnight hold keeps your belongings secure on our truck and delivers them when your new home is ready.

Haddonfield and Collingswood. Haddonfield takes only two bulk items a month during the second full week and requires a police permit for a dumpster on the street. Collingswood takes two bulk items a week and requires two separate certificates from its Fire Prevention Bureau before a sale. Cherry Hill is the most forgiving, with bulk trash on your regular day and a one-time move-out pickup for sellers.
It depends on the town, which is why we wrote a page for each one. Cherry Hill requires a Continued Certificate of Occupancy, Voorhees a Residential Resale Certificate from Zoning, Collingswood a resale CO plus a smoke and CO certificate, and Oaklyn a resale certificate of compliance plus an exterior inspection. Every one of them takes longer than sellers expect, so apply as soon as you have a closing date.
Yes. It is our most common cross-river move. Because it crosses a state line it is an interstate move, and we hold the USDOT number (757960) and FMCSA operating authority (MC 568794) that requires, along with our New Jersey license.
Carrying unwanted furniture and junk to the curb or a dumpster is billed at our hourly rate as part of the move. If it has to go to the landfill, we add the disposal fee the Pennsauken landfill charges by weight. We tell you which it will be before move day.
Local moves are billed by the hour, so the cost depends on crew size, how much you are moving, and access at both homes: stairs, elevators, and how close the truck can park. New Jersey requires movers to give you a written estimate at least 24 hours before the move. See our South Jersey moving costs guide for typical ranges, or call (856) 854-1993 for a free quote.
